Eva Buzo has a diverse practice of criminal, administrative and human rights law, with a particular focus on international criminal law, sexual and gender-based violence, and crimes against children.

Eva specialises in international criminal law and is certified to the Justice Rapid Response roster as an International Criminal Law Investigations Expert. She is a member of the Legal Aid NSW panel for summary criminal matters.

Eva is the founder and Executive Director of hūmānus, an organisation that supports victims of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity to engage with international and domestic accountability mechanisms, including the International Criminal Court and proceedings brought under universal jurisdiction. She continues to lead hūmānus alongside her practice at the Bar. Eva has a book on international criminal law forthcoming with Cambridge University Press in 2026.

Eva is also an ultramarathon swimmer and holds multiple records. In 2024 she swam the Strait of Otranto, completing the 92km crossing from Italy to Albania in 34 hours and 52 minutes. She has also completed the English Channel, Lake Geneva (58km), and a 40km Foundations to celebrate the work of civil society activists.
