Isabel Kallinosis is an experienced lawyer with a background in criminal and public law. Prior to being called to the Bar in 2025, she was the Acting Practice Manager of the Darwin office of the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency, where she regularly appeared in the NT Supreme and Local Courts in criminal matters.
From 2021 Isabel was a Senior Federal Prosecutor in the Human Exploitation and Border Protection branch of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. She was Associate to Her Honour Judge Gallagher in the NSW District Court from 2023.
Isabel also held senior solicitor roles in the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office (2020) and at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (2018 to 2020). In these roles she worked in public law, administrative law, commissions of inquiry, regulatory prosecutions, and proceedings under the Crimes (High Risk Offenders) Act 2006.
Alongside her broad criminal law experience, Isabel has a particular interest in public law and the exercise of state and executive powers within criminal and quasi-criminal jurisdictions. In 2024 her work was published in the Alternative Law Journal.
