Corrie Goodhand has more than 20 years’ experience in the law. Her primary areas of practice are criminal law, parole matters, serious and high risk offenders, mental health and intentional torts.
Corrie grew up in Darwin and received her Bachelor of Laws from the Northern Territory University (now known as Charles Darwin University). She has since obtained a Masters in Health Law from the University of Sydney, Masters in Forensic Mental Health at the University of New South Wales, and is currently undertaking a Masters of Philosophy (Research) at UNSW on ‘A retrospective cohort study of the occurrence of criminal justice system and health contact(s) in persons prior such persons being found Not Guilty by Mental Illness in New South Wales’.
In August 2020, Corrie was appointed an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychiatry, UNSW Medicine.
